Why should you look at Defendo CQC.

On a personal note, The history of Modern Defendo CQC should speak for itself. It is battle proven and very practical self defense system. While Defendo finds its roots in Ju Jitsu and other traditional Martial Arts of the world, Defendo is not a sport nor is it a traditional base Martial Art. It is raw and effective. Defendo is not based on learning Kata’s or terminology of a foreign language. A punch is punch and a kick is a kick.

As an Instructor for Defendo CQC I pride myself on the fact the if a student comes to me for only one lesson, In that one lesson I would have provided them with a practical no nonsense skill to defend themselves or the loved ones. The more times a student trains with Defendo the greater there knowledge and skills will develop.

To be proficient in anything takes time and effort on your part.

Students generally want to learn Martial arts for various reasons: the history, tradition of the art or system or the need for confidence in self defense.

Defendo is purely about the confidence to defend yourself and your loved ones when it is needed most. I am not training ring fighters or MMA contestants. Just normal people who enjoy normal exercise and training with nice people. Although Students should be mindful that Martial Arts is at times both verbally and physically confronting and it’s necessary for the purposes of preparing them for possible street confrontation, and is not meant to offend students.

In Defendo I encourage friendship and respect for all students. I endeavor to treat all students as family members and as such Defendo students regular socialize outside of the Dojo in activities as Defendo and other styles seminars, picnic days and social dinners.

Further benefits of Defendo CQC in Kempsey.

I also believe in the continual search for knowledge in combative arts. No one system holds all the answers to self defense. I am a evolutionist and believe in training for tomorrows uncertainity with todays skills and experience. Our society no longers allows swords to be carried or holds the values of our fore fathers. Aggressors now have little moral values and can in all sharpes and sizes .

In today’s modern world of the internet and various forms of media most of the great teachers and instructors of today have all looked at and cross trained in other styles or systems, and from there taken bits and pieces to enhance their own style or system. Hence the term Mixed Martial Arts.

Prior to Defendo my background was in traditional Judo, Goshin Ju Jitsu Kan and Tae Kwon Do and in the past couple of years Kombatan Arnis which is a Pilipino Martial Art.

Kempsey Defendo students will also benefit greatly and have the opportunity to study and learn from my experience in the following styles/systems.
