Defendo CQC in Australia

                                Bill Johnson & Bill Wolfe 2008

This meeting proved to be the beginning of Defendo CQC commencing in Australia. Bill Johnson regularly travels overseas teaching and researching any style relevant to Close Quarters Combat and has been requested on several occasions to return to Canada and assisted Bill Wolfe instructing Law enforcement personnel and members of the US military. 

 Bill Johnson is now the first Australian Representative for Canadian Law Enforcement Legend Bill Wolfe’s Defendo System.

Aaron Paterson 

Kempsey is the second Defendo CQC club to open in Australia. Aaron Paterson opened the Kempsey Branch of Defendo CQC in April 2009. 

Aaron has been graded in several styles of Martial Arts over his 25 years studying various fighting and defensive systems. Moving from the early days of Judo to Karate, Boxing, Tae Kwon Do, Goshin Ju Jitsu Kan, Budo Jitsu CQC, and Kombatan FMA & Australasian Defendo Close Quarters Combat.

Aaron first met Bill Johnson in 2002 and commenced studying Close Quarters Combat at the Maitland NSW Headquarters. In 2006 he was graded to Black Belt and continued to assist in the instruction of Dragons & Defendo CQC students variying from 5 to 65 years of age.

Aarons expertise in conflict management, both verbal and physical is derived from over 18 years involvement in the Security Industry and his present career in the NSW Correctional system.

·                     Member of the Australian Jujitsu Ass INC & Graded in Goshin Ju jitsu  Kan

·                     Graded in Budo Jitsu CQC, Rhee Tae Kwon Do & Judo.  

·                     M.A.I.A accredited Instructor.

·                     Senior Correctional Officer with the NSW Dept. Corrective Services (10 years)

·                     TAA40104 Cert 4 accredited in Training and Assessment.                                

·                     Workcover accreditation in OH&S Consultation                                              

·                     Cert II in Security Guarding 

·                     Cert III & IV in Correctional Practice (Custodial Operations)

·                     Qualified Chemical Aerosols Operator

·                     Security Industry Firearms & Interactive Batons accredited.
